Traditionally women have been seen as “vessels of beauty”, hence makeup becoming a necessity and other forms of modifications and “improvements” for women to embody beauty for the male gaze. What if we turn this around and have the body wear a vessel containing the elixir that alters perceptions of beauty? As the whiskey is drunk how you see the wearer’s beauty is altered, but so is the visibility of the wearer under the vessel, which is acting like a warping, magnifying camera lens whilst containing liquid. What is considered beautiful is all about perspective, and many factors can alter this perception.
